He is known as co-inventor of Golden Rice, together with Ingo Potrykus from the ETH Zurich. Peter Beyer (9 de mayo de 1952 (70 años) es un profesor alemán de biología celular en la Facultad de Biología de la Universidad de Friburgo. Es conocido principalmente por ser coinventor del arroz dorado, junto con Ingo Potrykus de la ETH Zurich. Peter Beyer (lahir 9 Mei 1952) adalah guru besar di bidang biologi sel berkebangsaan Jerman.
