Carl Louis Nippert (October 11, 1852 – September 5, 1904) was a German-American engineer and politician, who served as the 26th lieutenant governor of Ohio in 1902. Nippert was born in Frankfurt to American parents, Louis and Meta Nippert. His father was from Cincinnati, Ohio, and was sent to Frankfurt to run a Methodist Episcopal Church seminary. The father returned to Walnut Hills, Cincinnati in the 1870s. In the United States, Nippert was a member of several German associations. Nippert was a Freemason and member of the B.P.O.E.
