Vijay Thanigasalam is a Canadian politician, who was elected to the Legislative Assembly of Ontario in the 2018 provincial election. He represents the riding of Scarborough—Rouge Park as a member of the Progressive Conservative Party of Ontario. Thanigasalam went to St Joan of Arc Catholic Academy (then known as Jean Vanier Catholic Secondary School) and graduated in 2007. He then went on to study at the University of Toronto Scarborough and completed his Bachelor of Commerce in Finance at the University of Ontario Institute of Technology. After graduation, Vijay worked as a financial advisor.
