März 1965 in Wyandotte, Michigan) ist ein US-amerikanischer Kinderbuchillustrator und Gestalter von Pop-up Büchern. Nach dem Besuch des Pratt Institute in New York City arbeitete Sabuda zunächst als Packagedesigner. 1988 illustrierte Sabuda sein erstes Kinderbuch "The Fiddler's Son". Internationale Beachtung erlangte Sabuda mit seinen ab 1994 veröffentlichten Pop-up-Büchern, in denen er dieser Buchgattung neue Dimensionen eröffnete. Seine Bücher zeichnen sich durch eine sehr diffizile Papiermechanik aus, bei denen oftmals auf eine Illustration verzichtet wird. Die Bücher „Alice's Adventures in Wonderland: A Pop-up Adaptation“ 2003, „America the Beautiful“ 2004 und „Encyclopedia Prehistorica Dinosaurs: The Definitive Pop-Up“ (2006 gemeinsam mit seinem Partner Matth (de) Robert Clarke Sabuda (né le 8 mars 1965) est un illustrateur de livres pour enfants en particulier des livres animés et un ingénieur. Ses récents ouvrages, et notamment ses versions du Magicien d'Oz et d'Alice au pays des merveilles, ont reçu un accueil favorable dans les pays anglophones. Né à Pinckney dans le Michigan, il développe des attitudes artistiques dès le plus jeune âge, et entre au Pratt Institute dans la ville de New York. Son intérêt pour l'illustration des livres de jeunesse est remarqué, et il illustre en 1988. La reconnaissance vient en 1994. (fr)
