Oktober 1935 in Warschau) ist ein israelischer Biochemiker. Wilchek entkam dem Holocaust über Sibirien und kam 1949 mit seiner Mutter und Schwester nach Israel. Sein Vater starb im KZ Flossenbürg. Er studierte (nach Dienst in der israelischen Luftwaffe) Chemie und Physik an der Bar-Ilan-Universität (Bachelor 1960) und wurde 1963 am Weizmann-Institut promoviert, während er gleichzeitig als Chef-Chemiker in einer Firma arbeitete (Yeda Research and Development Company, Rechovot). Er ist Professor am Weizmann-Institut und war dort Dekan der Fakultät für Biophysik und Biochemie. (de) Meir Wilchek (Varsóvia, 17 de outubro de 1935) é um bioquímico israelense. Wilchek escapou do holocausto pela Sibéria para a Alemanha e chegou em 1949 com sua mãe e sua irmã em Israel. Seu pai morreu no Campo de concentração de Flossenbürg. Após o serviço militar na Força Aérea Israelense, estudou química e física na Universidade Bar-Ilan, com bacharelato em 1960, obtendo um doutorado em 1963 no Instituto Weizmann de Ciência, ao mesmo tempo que foi químico chefe na Yeda Research and Development Company, em Rehovot).
