Maharaia Winiata (1912–1960) was a notable New Zealand tribal leader, Methodist minister, teacher, anthropologist, broadcaster and community leader. Of Māori descent, he identified with the Ngati Ranginui iwi. He was born in , Bay of Plenty, New Zealand in 1912.
