Ludomił Antoni Rayski (29 December 1892 – 11 April 1977) was a Polish engineer, pilot, military officer and aviator. He served as the commander of the Polish Air Force between 1926 and 1939, being responsible for modernization of Polish military aviation. Throughout his life he also served in the Austro-Hungarian Army, Polish Legions, Turkish Army, Turkish Air Force, French Air Force, French Foreign Legion and Royal Air Force. He was also known as one of the most colourful personalities of inter-war Poland - and one of its least submissive officers.

Był dwukrotnie żonaty: od r. 1927 ze Stanisławą Kuszelewską, rozwiedzioną z Ignacym Matuszewskim, a po jej śmierci w r. 1966 z Irlandką Aileen Sheedy. Własnych dzieci nie miał; wychowywał pasierbicę Ewę Matuszewską (1919–1944), która jako studentka medycyny (ps. Mewa) służyła w trakcie powstania warszawskiego i została zamordowana przez Niemców 26 września 1944 w trakcie udzielania pomocy rannym. (pl)

Si distinse nel corso della prima guerra mondiale come ufficiale delle Legioni polacche al servizio dell'Imperiale e regio esercito austro-ungarico e poi dell'esercito ottomano. Dopo la fine del conflitto rientrò in Polonia distinguendosi subito nel corso della guerra polacco-ucraina e nella successiva guerra sovietico-polacca al comando di una squadriglia da bombardamento. Fu sostenitore della teoria del dominio dell'aria elaborata dal generale italiano Giulio Douhet, e sostenne sempre la costituzione di una potente forza da bombardamento capace di effettuare il supporto aereo ravvicinato e i bombardamenti sul territorio nemico.
