Joseph M. DeSimone (born May 16, 1964) is an American chemist, inventor, and entrepreneur who has co-founded companies based on his research, including the American 3D printing technology company, Carbon, of which he was CEO from 2014 until November 2019. DeSimone has published over 350 scientific articles and has over 200 issued patents in his name with over 200 patents pending. He was awarded the 2020 Harvey Prize for "significant contributions to materials science, chemistry, polymer science nano medicine, and 3D printing".
