(fr) Cahercommaun (irisch Cathair Chomáin „Cománs Fort“) ist ein dreifach umwalltes Inland-Promontory Fort im County Clare in Irland. Caher ist die anglisierte Form der irischen Wortes „cathair“ (was in einigen Regionen der Insel ein Dun bzw. Steinfort bezeichnet). Die archäologische Ausgrabung von 1934 ergab, dass die Kreisfläche etwa ein Dutzend Steingebäude umschloss, die zu verschiedenen Zeiten entstanden waren und von denen zwei Souterrains haben. Bei diesen Ausgrabungen wurde auch der Tullycommon-Knochen entdeckt, der zwei Ogham-Inschriften aufweist. * Cahercommaun * * * (de) Каэркомман (ирл. Cahercommaun) — доисторический форт, расположенный в Ирландии, в графстве Клэр, рядом с деревней Карран (ИКС 283 965) и построенный около 800 года нашей эры. Состоит из трёх концентрических стен, средняя из которых — 5 футов в толщину и 4-14 футов в высоту. В самой внутренней стене есть три камеры. Только внутренняя стена представляет собой полный круг, две прочие, соединённые вспомогательными стенами — лишь полукруги. Форт является кандидатом на включение в список Всемирного наследия ЮНЕСКО в Ирландии. (ru)
