The Belgian railway line 37 is a railway line in Belgium connecting Liège to Aachen in Germany. Completed in 1843, the line runs 47.4 km in Belgium. and another 6.8 km in Germany. It is the first and oldest crossborder Railwayline worldwide. Since 2009, high speed trains running between Brussels and Aachen use the HSL 3 instead of the line 37 between Chênée and Hergenrath.

Oktober 1843 eröffnete, 54 Kilometer lange zweigleisige, elektrifizierte Hauptstrecke des internationalen Bahnverkehrs zwischen Belgien und Deutschland, die Lüttich mit Verviers und Aachen verbindet. Sie verläuft innerhalb Belgiens abschnittsweise im Tal der Weser (französisch: Vesdre), einem Nebenfluss der Ourthe, und wird daher gelegentlich auch als Wesertalstrecke bezeichnet. (de) La ligne 37 est la ligne qui relie Liège à Aix-la-Chapelle. Elle est parfois nommée ligne de la vallée de la Vesdre. Elle est empruntée par les trains de voyageurs allant vers l'Allemagne en provenance de Bruxelles. Elle est prolongée par la ligne 2600 des chemins de fer allemands. Elle a perdu une partie de son trafic (Thalys et ICE) lors de son dédoublement par la LGV 3 ; par contre, elle est utilisée deux fois par semaine depuis le 20 janvier 2020 par des trains de nuit reliant Bruxelles-Midi à Vienne ou à Innsbruck. Elle permet la circulation à 120 km/h entre Liège et Welkenraedt et à 140 km/h entre Welkenraedt et l'Allemagne. (fr) Spoorlijn 37 is een Belgische spoorlijn die Luik met de grens bij Aken verbindt. De lijn is 47,0 km lang. De spoorlijn volgt tussen Angleur en Limburg de vallei van de Vesder. Hierdoor zijn er veel kunstwerken gebouwd op deze lijn, nl. 17 bruggen en 15 tunnels, waarvan drie in de stad Verviers. De spoorlijn bereikt zijn hoogste punten bij Welkenraedt (op de waterscheiding tussen Vesder en Geul) en bij de Belgisch-Duitse grens (op weg naar de Buschtunnel). (nl)
