André Piganiol (17 January 1883 – 24 May 1968) was a French historian and archaeologist. He was a professor at the University of Strasbourg and at the Sorbonne, then in 1942 became a professor of Roman civilization at the Collège de France.

(fr) André-Félix-Guy Piganiol (Le Havre, 1883 – Parigi, 1968) è stato uno storico e archeologo francese specializzato in storia romana. Fu allievo dell’École normale supérieure e membro dell’École française di Roma dal 1906 al 1909. Insegnò prima all'Università di Strasburgo, in seguito alla Sorbona di Parigi e poi al Collège de France. È stato membro dell’Académie des inscriptions et belles lettres. La sua principale attività è legata alla storiografia romana, e si distingue per la qualità dell'approfondimento delle tematiche socio-economiche. Hij genoot zijn opleiding aan de prestigieuze École Normale Supérieure en zou lid worden van de (1906-1909). In 1909 werd hij als professor aangesteld aan de universiteit van Straatsburg, vervolgens aan de Sorbonne in 1928 en aan het Collège de France in 1942. Hij werd in 1945 verkozen als lid van de Académie des inscriptions et belles-lettres. (nl) André Piganiol fue un arqueólogo e historiador francés nacido el 17 de enero de 1883 y fallecido el 24 de mayo de 1968. Estudió en la Escuela Normal Superior de París desde 1903y posteriormente formó parte de la Escuela Francesa de Roma de 1906 a 1909. En 1919 ejerció como profesor de la Universidad de Estrasburgo y posteriormente en la Sorbona de París en 1929, así como en el Collège de France en 1942. Componente del equipo de redacción de la revista Annales d'histoire économique et sociale, en 1945 fue elegido miembro de la Academia de las inscripciones y lenguas antiguas. (es)
